PHOENIX SEVA CELEBRATE FRIENDSHIP DAY WITH MENTALLY PHYSICALLY CHALLENGED STUDENTS
On the eve of friendship day, physically and mentally challenged children, who are treated as social outcasts, are confined to their lonely bedrooms. However, Phoenix Seva has changed this. With an aim to provide memories to cherish, the organisation has been holding 'Friendship Day' celebrations for specially-abled students over the last three years. This year too, the members of Phoenix held a special cake-cutting ceremony with mentally and physically challenged children at Chintamaniswar Shiva Temple in Kalpana Square.
After refreshments, the social workers tied Friendship bands on the students' hands and pledged to uphold the sacred bond. Later, every one broke out into a dance and merry-making amidst blasting Bollywood and Ollywood songs. Odia television stars were present in the ocassion.
Phoenix Seva was formed in the year 2017 with the sole objective of serving the needy, evoke the feeling of volunteerism among the people and motivate the youngsters to immerse themselves in the field of social service. The philanthropic organization has been relentlessly working in the domain of health, education and environment.
